Something to make you think:"A child who does not travel believes their mama is the best cook." You don't grow by staying comfortable.
Without this, your lack of experience sets limitations on your potential. Push yourself and try something new. It's so important. Something to make you act:Often when you read newsletters like these or watch podcasts with your favourite creators, and they give you advice, there's often a voice in the back of your mind that says "easy for them to say. They've made it." It can be frustrating because nobody talks to the person you are now. They talk to the person THEY are now. So, to counter that, I'm going to share with you tactical tips that helped me go from unsuccessful to successful that DON'T rely on already being successful.
I used to do this all the time. I'd find the most luxurious hotel lobbies I could, and I'd take my battered, beaten, old Toshiba laptop and sit in the corner to do my work. By changing my physical surroundings to be around the rich and successful in society, I also changed my mental surroundings. I was one of these people too. The world just needed to catch up. To this day, this is one of the most powerful actions I've ever taken. (I actually made a video talking about this earlier this month - watch it here) 2. Find the third door. There's always another way. Here's a story - I was only 15 and I wanted to interview Richard Branson for my entrepreneurial magazine. The tickets were sold out and they didn't just give out media passes to anyone. So, I emailed the venue and said "I will go and set out all of the chairs for the event for you, if in return I get a backstage media pass." They said yes. (It was free labour, of course they said yes.) But this is a prime example of using the third door to do something that previously, wouldn't have been available to me. So look for the third door. There's always another way. 3. Be ruthless about who you spend your time with. This one is going to sting for a lot of you. Chances are, your day 1 friends are not going to help you be successful. Law of averages means that most, if not all of these people, will just live ordinary lives - and that's absolutely fine! But, if you want to live an extraordinary life, you need to associate with people who share the same goals and ambitions. People who also don't want to live ordinary lives. And unfortunately that means you have to spend a lot less time with your day 1's. It's hard, and painful, but honestly, that's how you make the switch from unsuccessful to successful. P.S. I'm hiring for several full time positions right now & if you're spending time reading this newsletter, you're probably the type of person I'd like to speak to. I'm hiring for:

Reader, This week has been a reminder: we don’t have forever. And because of that I really want to encourage you to go for it. Whatever 'it' looks like for you whether it's making your first hire, quitting that job, going on that date...taking that holiday. Just do it. Something to make you think: I’ve actually been thinking about Steve Jobs lately. Do you remember his final note before he died? “At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realise that all the...
Morning, Hope you’ve had an amazing week, smashing goals and setting the bar higher. So… my product launch is finally behind us, and I’ve been doing some reflecting (as always 😅). Some things went really well, and others… well, let’s just say they went hilariously sideways. Like, the kind of wrong you have to laugh at or you’ll cry. But hey, that’s also the game, right? In the spirit of celebrating both the wins and the “what-was-that-even?” moments, I’ve got something special for you this...
